Expected impact on maritime operations is negligible

In December 2021, the Rosneft board approved a new strategy through to 2030 with the aim of achieving net zero emissions by 2050, earlier than President Vladimir Putin's deadline. Focus of the transition for Rosneft appears to be a shift towards low-carbon power generation, elimination of flaring (doubt) along with carbon capture and storage technologies and natural forest offsets.
