About client segmentation, what each client wants and why
No battle plan survives first contact with the enemy. That is why experimentation, combined with speed of execution trumps perfect plans filled with assumptions. Our goal therefore is not to follow the plan to the letter, but use this as a guideline on our own journey and to clarify decision making to our crew and the rest of the industry. It serves as our compass and might change direction each time we take a step forward.
It should be noted that one of the pivot points that might have to be decided upon in the future, is the focus on shipowners (Paul) or maritime service providers (Jeff). At this point in time, Sustainable Ships has more attraction to larger companies and shipowners, and not the smaller captain-shipowners for which the ‘sustainability on demand’ concept was devised. This is to be determined at a later stage however.
